First time tours are available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am – 2:30pm with no appointments necessary. PLEASE call ahead of time to see if a tour can be accommodated on all other days. We would hate for you to arrive only to be turned away because no tours are available. We take first time orientation very seriously to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Please call the office at 916-687-6550 to schedule your appointment. COVID restrictions will still apply and will be discussed with you when making your appointment.
All camping and rooms are open. (Far side of the lake closed to camping until May 1st as well as all other grass sites, subject to weather conditions, and if available)
Laguna del Sol has been a nudist club since 1961. It was known as “Rawhide Ranch” from the early 1970s until 1991, when it returned to its beautiful, original name. Since 1984, under the current ownership, the resort has grown from 70 acres to 250 acres in size and has steadily added new facilities and upgraded existing ones.
Several dozen people make their permanent homes here. Many others lease permanent sites for RVs and park model cottages, which they use as second homes or weekend getaways. Visiting vacationers come from across the country and even internationally to this beautiful resort. For locals, Laguna del Sol is their year-round social and recreation club.
Laguna del Sol is a “clothing-optional resort.” The swimming pool and spa areas are the only places where clothing is not allowed. There are lots of places where you must wear swimsuits. This is one of the few places where you don’t have to, so we want you to feel comfortable taking “the plunge,” knowing that everyone else is naked too! After all, that’s why you’re here and not at one of those places, right?
People have different preferences for exercising, playing sports, dining in the restaurant and going to the lounge in the evening. Weather permitting, most people are comfortable being nude most of the time. Others prefer to wear a pair of shorts for running, volleyball or tennis, or a wrap or light cover-up for dining. It’s your choice.
